At first glance I thought what I was looking at were small paintings of graffiti by Laura Ortiz Vega. But upon closer inspection the technique revealed itself. Laura photographs, documents graffiti in and around Mexico City then preserves these images onto panels with colorful threads and bees wax (cera de Campeche), an artisan technique of the Huichol people.
